Melbourne indie staples The Great Emu War Casualties and synth crooners Double Vanity come together for a powerful double‑headline show.
Over the past few years, The Great Emu War Casualties have firmly embedded themselves in the Australian indie landscape, carving out an idiosyncratic sound that blends lucid art‑rock with sharp, perceptive lyricism. Since their debut, the band have earned widespread support from The GuardianThe Line of Best Fit, Triple J, BBC, Fender, 2SER and Backseat Mafia, establishing themselves as one of Melbourne’s most compelling live acts.

On the other side of the bill, three piece Double Vanity are all dim lighting, velvet curtains and crystal tears. Their arrival in 2020 transported listeners into a new world they labeled ‘airportwave’, capturing their nostalgic brand of analogue sad indie disco. Double Vanity were described by 4ZZZ as “synth crooners” with layered synths, swelling guitar and lush vocals meeting for a moment of textured overexposure and minimal pulsing rhythms.
