One Last Time - A Tribute To Aaron (Nigel) Jackson
Featuring: Branch Arterial + Modality
Espy Gershwin (St Kilda, VIC)
Sunday, 13 December 2026 6:00 pm
Aaron “Nigel” Jackson was a founding member of two of Melbourne’s most influential progressive rock and metal acts spanning 14 years: Branch Arterial (2009-2018) and Modality (2018-2023). Playing all over Australia supporting both local and international acts such as Flyleaf, Starset, Dead Letter Circus, Twelve Foot Ninja, Caligula’s Horse, Circles, Jericco, Thousand Needles In Red, and a host of others, “Nigel” as he was affectionately known became recognised as the one of the biggest voices in the scene.
Having beaten a previous bout before, sadly on June 12 this year, Aaron passed away from his year-long battle with cancer at 41.
On Sunday 13th December at Melbourne’s iconic Espy Gershwin Room, a host of musicians from across the Melbourne music scene will be putting on a celebration of Aaron’s life through his music. With original members from Branch Arterial and Modality, as well as other guest performers from Circles, Mammal, Engine Three Seven and more, we’ll revisit the music that came straight from the heart of this incredible performer and great man.
Special guests include:
Ben Rechter (Circles, Glass Empire)
Adam Hompas (Original Branch Arterial guitarist, Jericco)
Darren Hurford (Original Branch Arterial drummer)
Kade Turner (Mammal, Branch Arterial)
Shane Evans (Engine Three Seven)
Julian Meyer (Phoenix Day, “Voices Unknown/Beyond the Border” engineer & producer)
Nguyen Pham (Baby Raptor, Alithia, Enlight)
James Ash (Naberus)
Dan Ralph (Naberus)
