--------
4hr Parking. A five-piece indie rock band from the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood. Formed in 2024 they met through a local soccer team, where post-training jams turned into post-game gigs.
After a big year of writing, recording, and gigging across Melbourne, 4P have released their first EP. One that touches on the highs and lows of love and life which were felt in the first years as a band — showing that hopeless optimism, a bunch of crappy microphones, and friends by your side can make anything happen.
They draw musical inspiration from influential bands like The Strokes’ direct and hooky sound, The Cure’s alt-rock riffs, Fontaines DC’s anthemic lyrics, while taking influence through sharing a practice space with local rockers Radio Free Alice.
The EP features some favourite original songs that have been moulded and developed at a very make-shift home studio on Wellington Street, inspiring the name of the EP.
