Marilyn's 80s Video Party!

Marilyn’s 80s Party has been an iconic night out since its inception in 1981, when it first kicked off at the legendary Treasury Hotel as Marilyn’s Cocktail Bar.
Over the decades, it has evolved into one of Brisbane’s most beloved and enduring celebrations of 80s music and culture.
Today, the party lives on in a new form, bringing together the vibrant energy of those classic decades through remastered videos and music that defined a generation.

This year’s event features the best of new wave, alternative and synth-pop artists, with their iconic songs and videos playing on big screens to create a fully immersive experience. From The Cure’s haunting melodies to the pulsating synths of Depeche Mode, the infectious hooks of New Order, and the atmospheric sounds of The Smiths, the night celebrates a diverse range of legendary acts that shaped the era’s musical landscape. Marilyn’s 80s Party 2025 returns on Saturday, October 11, at the refurbished Wickham Hotel in Fortitude Valley. DJs Peter Brown and DJ Kyle will be packing the dance floor from 7:30pm until late.
